Design Brief: Architectural Technology (UK) Ltd. are proud to be associated with Honeywell Control Systems based in Newhouse, near Glasgow.
We were initially invited to design their new Bytes Restaurant which is within their Newhouse campus.
The design brief quite simply was to modernise the rather dated facility which was not being used to it's full capacity. Additionally there was a requirement to introduce new toilet facilities, a computer area and a break-out or casual seating area.

Since completion the new Bytes Restaurant has won a great deal of praise from both staff and visitors to the campus.
The facility is now used more frequently and by a greater number of diners and has proven to be a great success.
Since winning this initial competition we have continued to work with Honeywell on other projects.
One such project is the TQM Room. The design brief was to reallocate critical services and facilities within one large multi-use space. This space has been designed to accommodate several small groups undergoing training programmes at the same time. Additionally the primary space has to be capable of accommodating over 120 personnel for the quarterly management broadcasts.
The agreed scheme provides for new toilet facilities, a break-out or casual seating area, two large meeting rooms to accommodate in excess of 20 personnel each and one large multi-use space capable of accommodating over 120 personnel.
Works are due to commence on site imminently.
